Art of Calligraphy

AprWord calligraphy means beautiful writing. It is also known as art of fancy lettering. This art actually gives forms to signs in expressive, harmonious and skillful manner. Normally 500 years ago before the invention of printing machines, all the books were written with this art. All copies of books were hand written in different styles. Special tools were used for beautiful calligraphy. Quill and ink into materials like vellum etc.
With passage of time till now three styles of calligraphy has been used:
- Western & Roman
- Arabic
- Chinese or Oriental
Here is a collection of pictures of great work by skilled people that contributed a lot to art work and now calligraphy is used as decorative art. Calligraphic work is framed and hanged on walls for wall decoration.
